Dr. Sue Cary
Dr. Cary has been the Medical Director of SaVida Health since 2013. Prior to her experience in addiction medicine, Dr. Cary served patients for 20 years in the fields of child and adolescent psychiatry where she honed her skills in harm reduction and patient engagement. Along with new technologies and training, she brings a clinical soul into treatment and meets patients wherever they are in their recovery journey. Prior to joining SaVida Health, Dr. Cary worked with Baystate Medical Center’s Child & Adolescent Partial Hospital Program while working with Behavioral Health Network in Massachusetts and Community Health Resources in Connecticut.
Dr. Cary's study in exercise physiology for a Bachelor’s degree at Boston University and Master’s of Science at The University of Alberta (Canada) fueled a first career in community health. A desire for more knowledge led her to Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.
