Opioid Addiction Purdue Pharma Settlement

Purdue Pharma Reaches $270 Million Settlement With Oklahoma in Opioid Crisis Case

-From NPR As a result of a lawsuit filed by the Oklahoma Attorney General, Purdue Pharma, the maker of OxyContin, has agreed to pay $270 million to fund addiction research and treatment in Oklahoma and pay legal fees. Oklahoma Attorney General Mike Hunter filed suit two years ago alleging Purdue helped ignite the opioid crisis with aggressive marketing of the blockbuster drug OxyContin and deceptive claims that downplayed the dangers of addiction. New addiction center promises a new sort of recovery for the NSV Savida Health opened its second Virginia location in Front Royal -From localdvm.com FRONT ROYAL, Va. – A new addiction center has opened in Front Royal, Va. and it promises to provide a unique approach to opioid and alcohol addiction for the Northern Shenandoah Valley.
